                                       NEW BOYS SOCCER

A Different Approach to Club Soccer

Our goal is simple:

High School = Primary Training Environment
Club = Additional Competition Environment

We want players to receive meaningful, competitive club soccer opportunities

without adding another 4–5 training sessions to their weekly schedule.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Players Attend a Tryout
All players will attend a tryout where they will be evaluated and scored by our coaching staff.

2. Evaluations Help Create Balanced Teams
Player evaluations will be openly shared with players and coaches and will primarily be used to help create balanced, competitive teams.

3. Teams Are Based on Evaluations — Not School
Players will be placed on teams based on their evaluations rather than simply being grouped by their school. To help create balanced teams, a team may have up to 7 rostered players from the same high school, excluding seniors and non-rostered high school players.

Example:
If the top 10 players in the evaluation process attend High School A, only the top 7 may be placed on the same team.

4. No Regular Club Practices
Teams will not hold regular club practices. Instead, players will continue to develop primarily through their high school programs, including open fields, summer training, and other opportunities provided by their high school coaches.

5. Game Coaches
A coach will be present at every club game to manage the team and provide coaching.

6. Opportunities for Non-Rostered & Home-Schooled Players
Seniors, non-rostered high school players, and homeschooled athletes will receive an open-field training calendar.

7. Competition-Focused
Teams will primarily come together for: League games, Tournaments, and inter-club scrimmages.

The goal is to give players more meaningful competition without unnecessarily adding to their weekly training commitments.

WHY THIS MODEL?

-LESS TIME COMMITMENT
Players don't have to attend multiple club practices every week on top of their high school training.

-MORE AFFORDABLE
By eliminating regular club practices, we can reduce costs associated with practice fields and additional training staff.

-BETTER FOR MULTI-SPORT ATHLETES
Players can continue participating in other sports while still receiving meaningful soccer competition.

-WHAT DOES IT COST?
$250 per player for the season
Additional costs:

  • Uniform: Additional cost

  • Tournament: Approximately $50/player for players who choose to participate
