MANAGER INFORMATION- Fall 2008 |
This is a listing of some of the things that you need to make sure that you have taken care of before the beginning of the season. If you are unsure or have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I would be glad to meet with you in person, answer questions over the phone or do whatever it takes to make sure you are ready for the beginning of a new season.
Here are a few of the things you
need to take care of:
1.
Use your manager’s money to either
purchase or fill up your first aid kit. It
is NOT AN OPTION – These kits need to be on the sidelines with your coach at
EVERY GAME AND EVERY PRACTICE. They
serve no purpose in your trunk. These
first aid kits need plenty of the break and shake ice bags.
2.
A new year means new player cards.
Please make sure that you forward to the administrator a copy of each
player’s birth certificate. We
will need to have a copy on file for verification before a player card is
signed. Please make sure that you
also keep a copy of each player’s birth certificate for your file.
Once the administrator has received the player cards they will be passed
on to you. For each player/coach you
will need to get a photo to attach to the card and have the player/coach sign
the card. At that point, I will be
able to meet with you to approve and sign player cards.
Remember, once you have both required signatures and a player/coach
picture attached to the back of the card, the cards MUST BE LAMINATED (This is a
state rule and not optional). Then
punch a hole in the corner of the cards and put them on a ring.
These cards must be present at every game even if they are not asked for
during league games. If a player
card is requested and not produced the player will not be able to play.
3.
Update your team player book.
Make sure you have medical form and birth certificate for each player.
If you are missing something – contact the player.
Make sure you have your current approved state roster.
It does not hurt to have a couple photocopies of the roster in your book.
Most tournaments are collecting copies of the roster when you register on
Friday night. (IMPORTANT:
The book should be available on the sidelines for every game, NOT IN YOUR
CAR. A referee can ask to see the
forms at any time so please be prepared).
4.
You will be given money before the
season starts to be used to pay your referees.
You will need to pay center referee BEFORE each HOME game.
More notes will come with your money at that time.
Please feel free to email me or
call me anytime with questions. I
will do what I can to help.
Thanks,
Stephanie Strickland
